VISUAL DIARY: TRAVEL: NORTHERN LIGHTS: YELLOWKNIFE
10:10 PM
My family and I went on a trip to Yellowknife to see the Northern Lights, and I will tell you, it was one of the nicest, most relaxing vacations we've had in a while. Yellowknife is the quiet, laid-back, relatively small (compared to Toronto) Canadian (which means ridiculously cold and snowy) town you'd expect to find in an area so far off to the Northwest of the Canadian map you'd question its existence. Even now I still wonder if seeing the lights was just the kind of dream you don't want to wake up from. It was so beautiful. My sister and I lay down on the snow (that was piled so high on top of a frozen lake) and we didn't even feel cold. (Disclaimer: We were wearing snow pants).
