One of the classes I am required to take for my program is called Physical Computing. For our final project, we made a little robot named T.H.O.R. (Twitter Hashtag Operated Robot). It's basically a robot that responds and moves around according to what you tweet at it. If you tweet it something that makes it happy, it dances. If you tweet it something that makes it angry, its lights will turn red and will angrily ram at its cage. We also attempted to program it to develop its own personality. I love that my program heavily emphasizes the anthropomorphism of computers, robots, and software programs.

Other projects included a line following and colour detecting robot, a water-frequency sculpture (google this -it's pretty wicked), a light anemone, and a coloured light piano.

All photos by Cindy Nguyen. Check out her blog here! Her photos, her personality, and her smile are so bright and lively. She's an extremely talented and intelligent human being.
