The Earth is a ridiculous place -mountains and mountains of organic material reaching for heaven, and timid clouds that seem to respect the divide between the sky and the ground. Trees and bushes and plants and weeds blended together into a green gradient of velvet carpeting. It is so quiet.

The Earth is a ridiculous place -one's hands forget to tremble at the thought of being so high, and instead shake at the wonder of it all. Many things are set aside. Gravity is put on hold, and the heart is the only weight to keep one grounded. The air is so thin, and the heart is so heavy.

The Earth is a ridiculous place -it thrives even without its Biblical caretakers. It forgives, and it punishes. The ground is intelligent and the seas are temperamental. The Earth is a ridiculous place -it flourishes without us. When did it become a human trait to cut down the things that aren't dependent on us? When did we become a specie that thrives on validation? Why? Human beings are silly.

The Earth is a ridiculous place -it's practical. Things grow where they want, when they want, if the conditions are right. The Earth doesn't think of validation. The Earth is validation. Being here is enough validation, and we ruin it. We ruin ourselves. Human beings are silly.
